Environmental & Family Strategies at CSF
Sustainability has being a topic of great interest at the CSF, specifically sustainability in medicine, as was accessibility to educational meetings.

The CSF planning committee took to heart the feedback they received and have incorporated the following elements into this year's meeting:
-
No paper programs - all CSF information is available via the CSF App
-
Offset your carbon footprint - make a donation to Tree Canada
-
Sustainable menu considerations - reduced red meat orders for more sustainable and plant based options
-
Refillable water stations - bring your own bottle or purchase one from the CAGS booth near registration
-
On-site daycare - introducing the CSF Mini-Surgeons Clubhouse full-day daycare
-
Breastfeeding room - a safe, private space for nursing mothers

The host hotels are also doing their part with unique interventions of their own, such as:
-
Using more plant based single-use plates and recycled paper products
-
Using refillable bottles for shampoos, creams, etc.
-
Offering recycling stations to accommodate the City's waste reduction activities - like charging for plastic bags - to aid delegates in better managing their waste.
