Call for Scholarly Work & Innovative Practice in Surgical Education
The Canadian Surgery Forum (CSF) is excited to announce the third annual open call for surgical education scholarly works and innovative practice. During our CSF presentation and panel discussion focusing on surgical education, we are looking to showcase:

Original research
-
New approaches to curriculum design
-
Innovative practices in teaching and learning, and/or
-
Best practices in surgical education
This CSF session is presented in co-operation with the Canadian Association of General Surgeons
Post-Graduate Education Committee. The selection criteria will include:

Originality
-
Learning points
-
Potential impact of the innovation or change on learning
-
Potential impact on trainee satisfaction and/or experience
-
Broad applicability to undergraduate or post-graduate training in surgery
The submission should be in a Word format and include the following:
-
Title, applicant’s name(s), staff sponsor, university affiliation

Abstract describing the work, impact and applicability and potential contribution to surgical education. (Word limit: 500)
The deadline for all case submissions is Thursday May 31st, 2024. Please submit your cases to CSF Staff at marbella@cags-accg.ca. All submissions will be blinded before judging by the selection committee.
The selection committee will make their decisions by June 28th 2024, and will inform all submitters of their status. The submitter must be available to present the submitted work in Winnipeg at the CSF in person. Conference registration, transportation and accommodations are not covered.
